London Buddhist Centre

Here is an opportunity to make your contribution to working in a Buddhist Team Based Right Livelihood situation right at the heart of the LBC Mandala

Alban Leigh has been invited to attend the Ordination Course in 2007 which means that we are currently looking for a man to work with us on the LBC Centre Support Team whilst he is away. The dates that we are looking for someone to join us are from Jan 29-Aug 3 which is roughly six months.

Writing personally three things I value working about working at the Centre are:
I have had a very idealistic response to the teachings of the Buddha and it is great to do work for a project I believe in.

Working at the Centre has helped me to transform ideas about practising Buddhism into a committed spiritual momentum which is an on-going process.

There is more scope in this work situation, I believe, for honest communication which means I feel I can be more fully myself when I am at work.
If Buddhist ideals, a context for deepening your spiritual practice and space for more open communication at work are things that you value please think about joining the LBC’s Centre Support Team in 2007 for a six month period.

If you are interested in joining the Team please contact me by Friday January 12th. We would like to have the new person beginning work on Monday 29th January. If you would like more information please get in touch with me and I can send you a more detailed job specification, information about the support package that we offer and the guidelines which the current team are working to.
